Average Rating: Rating: - Average Quality Feehan Book This wasn't Feehan's best work, but neither was it her worst. Here is what I really liked. The heroin's experience and perceptions of life as a "vampire" without "our hero" standing around saying how great life is. The progression of the couple's relationship was quite different from Feehan's other books. Some of the minor characters were very interesting. Here is what I didn't like. The heroin is a pessimist with low self esteem. She lets traumatic experiences from her youth control her entire life. The hero is too submissive. Rating: - Loved it! I have read all of the "Dark" books and I love them all. The carpathian men are what every woman dreams of. I have read the reviews posted here for Dark Destiny and was shocked that anyone could consider Destiny whiny or Nicolae weak. I loved the book. I thought that it was very true to life that Destiny had problems with trust and being touched. Being converted by a vampire and used as she was should have destroyed her, also she was in daily agony from the lesions and toxins in her blood. Just surviving that trauma and giving Nicolae a chance showed how strong she was. Nicolae not only helped her through the degradation but lived it with her. He understood that more than anything she needed to feel in control of everything around her. However, he still gave her limits and protected her without her knowledge. I think that he must be one of the strongest of the carpathian males and I can't wait to read her next book and I hope it about his brother. Rating: - Awsome book In this book, Mrs. Feehan has shown that even through the toughest adversity the goodness of a persons heart and soul shine through. The Heroine of this book, Destiny, underwent physical, mental and emotional abuse throughout her childhood and was still able to show an inner strength and a will to survive. Once again Christine has given us a strong hero who knows that with true love all things can be conquered and a heroine who has to learn that being strong sometimes means needing someone to lean on. This book has action, romance, suspense and even small amounts of comedy. For the first time in her Dark series Christine has given a woman the role of a hunter, and she has done so with a beautifully written story that takes you further into the shadow world she started in Dark Prince. Destiny is a woman who thinks she is doomed to spend her life alone because of a horrible attack by a vampire when she was a child but Nicolae is determined to win her heart and prove to her that they belong together not just now but for eternity and he will do whatever it takes to make her understand that. The secondary characters in this story make it even better as you get caught up in their world and what happens to them and how Nicolae and Destiny will do anything to protect them from harm. If you enjoy action, romance and suspense pick this book up and give it a try..you will not be disappointed. You might actually find yourself entering another world, full of shadows, night creatures and those who call that world home.
